Yin Yang!
In the morning, he heads out for his daily morning walk thinking he will take a longer route today. Right after he steps out, he feels the breeze on his face that also ruffles his hair. Earthly scent after last night's heavy downpour makes this morning a perfect delight. He does not hear any human sound as yet, may be today he is a bit early. He hears the birds chirping though, and it makes him smile to listen to a variety of sounds. From quail to blackbirds, he enjoys the orchestra going on in the tress. Walking some distance, he feels flapping of swans wings in the water adding more beauty to this remarkably wonderful morning.
People have finally started to pouring in and he feels like innumerable stories are about to begin and countless to resume.
Unaware, one of those will be his.
After crossing the road, covering over a mile's radius of the walking track, passing through the woods in between, he finally reaches his usual place of rest. Fallen leaves gleam more, turning everything into gold, as the sun goes up and throws light on them.
Sitting on that wooden bench close to a sycamore tree makes him realize, today he is accompanied by someone else too. Soft fragrance and flipping of pages after every about two minutes, this girl has to be reading something interesting.
'Morning, what are you reading'? says Yin finally breaking the ice.
No response.
Slightly embarrassed, he adds, 'I live a few blocks away and come here for a walk every morning'.
No response.
He is a bit taken aback. Feels bad.
'Maybe she doesn't find me cool or thinks of herself too much' Yin ponders the possibilities.
Whatsoever is the reason, she cannot budge me out of my usual spot and continues to sit there out of stubbornness. Why not? This is my place after all since the past decade or so.
'How can someone not look at the the other person while speaking to them. He is so rude. Could have atleast looked at me. God, he is arrogant. Maybe he thinks he is too cool with those shades on' Yang thinks out loud.
Whatsoever is the reason I am not going to get up until I finish another two chapters. After all this is the spot where I have enjoyed reading after so long. Yang decides firmly.
Silence. Thoughts. Anger. Confusion.
Why wouldn't she talk back to me?
Why wouldn't he even look at me?
Two minds weaving stories and spinning tales based on what they are feeling in some part of the planet. Both of them have their inner insecurities and both of them are complete strangers to each other. Going as wild as possible with the reasoning and logic behind the other's behavior. A whirlpool of emotions that makes the vibe stronger than before. However, it all subdues by the calming sound of waves from the lake beside them. None of them counter one another and believe to embrace silence.
One by one both of them leave the place to see each other again tomorrow and then for the years to come.
To find the truth, to laugh together, to be together.
One of the many stories that happen each day and fill the lives of the imperfectly perfect pieces of puzzles that fit right together.
Several years on her eyes talk to him. His words fill in the void. Incomplete themselves they complete each other.
Isn't it one of the best stories to have happened that morning?
Yin cannot see and Yang cannot speak!
