7 Reasons Why I Admire Feminist Men!

Word 'Feminist' still has not been able to enjoy the acceptance at all levels. Ambiguity pertinent to the phenomenon is so huge that one finds the gist of it as entangled web of reinforcement of a specific gender or someone who hates men. Worse-still, some relate it to superiority of women and others think one has to be a woman to be a feminist. However, in the recent past, leaders around the world such as Barack Obama and Justin Trudeau have publicly supported the whole concept and that has certainly made a positive impact.

As per the simplest of definitions anyone who supports feminism is a feminist. Seems like 80% of the population of the whole world supports feminism but the whole thing gets fractured when supporters don't turn out to be the followers. While you may support a woman for running the whole show, you may not feel comfortable getting out of your intrinsic role which clearly does not entail anything that falls outside your domain. A supporter saying out loud or thinking in his head sounds like the following:

What? Changing diapers? I am a man and I am supposed to provide for the family only. However, my definition of a successful woman is someone who attends the kids, excels at work and still looks pretty.

Evidently, the concept of being the feminist fits like a glove for others who support, endorse and follow it without any questions or hesitations. Nevertheless, whatever number in they are, they are my favorite and here I describe my top 7 reasons on how they are organically admirable.

1. They Are Best In Any Role:
May him be a dad, brother, friend or a husband, he is just perfect in any sort of role. He doesn't have to be pushed to tag along for a chick flick that you want to enjoy over the weekend neither he will sway on the chores. From a perfect grocery partner to an interesting chef in the kitchen to a best dad in the world, you will find him rocking it all. Can you ever feel marginalized or alone when with this man?

2. They Don't Mind Emotions:
Crying is a natural ability to let your anger or sadness out of your system and that simple reason is not turned into some egoistic show or a matter of dignity. Crying it out or simply expressing their pain in words don't make them feel vulnerable, in fact they are stronger than anyone around to show their real side without any shame or guilt.

3. They Are Never Insecure:
You be in the driving seat or they be in it barely matters to them. They know their worth and they know nothing in the world can make them feel small. Their self-esteem is sky touching and kid you not these are the men who transform lives.

4. They Don't Forget You Are A Lady:
They don't trade equality with the fair share of respect that you deserve. Their respect is never a quid-pro-quo for you being equal to them. Chivalry is a deeply ingrained conviction and you will never find him claiming his manhood by disrespecting you in any possible way.

5. They Believe In Half-Half:
They don't restrict themselves to the things that define them as 'man'. They don't think cleaning the house or making the food is demeaning to their existence. Infact, they hate lazing around playing video games while you are working your back off. Responsibilities are always divided.

6. They Are Substance Oriented:
Slut shaming? What's a slut? Body shaming? What's fat and ugly? You won't hear them making disparaging remarks about anyone let alone a woman. Objectification of a woman or thinking her less than themselves is as loathsome as it is to any woman. You will find them complimenting more about your substance and character along with the occasional compliments about your looks. Well, and yes they are not some made up story, people!

7. They Don't Mix Feminist With Effeminate:
Being a feminist and being a woman are two different things and the difference is known to them distinctly. A strong, tall, dark and a feminist man is every woman's dream and should be every man's benchmark!

We have no doubt moved a step further where let alone men, states too are being called as feminists. For instance, few months ago Sweden has become the first feminist government and has taken all the necessary steps to bridge the gap that exists at social, economical and political level. I believe they are in the right direction since pay-gaps, paternal leaves, women participation in the state level decision making are the underlying reasons of future progressive minds that have no space for patriarchal and misogynist ideas.

All praise to the feminist men topping the list is my dad!
